User - 22 Jun 18 You could install a small trivet beside the cooker so you can place the hot moka pot and such down on it :. User - 22 Jun 18 Your camper van looks really awesome and practical Smudo seems to love it.

Just don't forget to turn the gas off before going to bed :. User - 22 Jun 18 Super cool! The rubber feet as slip preventative is such an elegant hack!

User - 28 Apr 18 Great video and an awesome project. Perfect mix of functionality and style. User - 28 Apr 18 Dude.. I love the lamp itself, but it also feels like you went an extra mile on the video.

Five or six different angles for one simple step. It looks like you were surrounded by an entire film crew! And I love how you already look right at home in this new space.

I'm excited to see what you'll do with all that room for growth. User - 29 Apr 18 Thought exactly the same!

User - 28 Apr 18 Nice project. Is the steel cable a structural requirement, or rather a design element? User - 28 Apr 18 Awesome project! The video was really good, fantastic shots and cool look with the lighting.

Lots of light and the ability to make really wide shots now. You and Smudo are so cute too? User - 15 Apr 18 Very nice video. I can imaging that the new space brings more fun and opportunities.

Only one nitpick: the music was a bit loud so when you started talking I had to adjust my sound and again afterwards.

User - 16 Apr 18 Great video! I can't wait to see you build out this space! User - 16 Apr 18 OMG your new space is soooo sick!!

Looks like a movie set made for exactly what you're doing and going to be doing. All the Best. User - 16 Apr 18 Wie immer ein super Video!

User - 2 Apr 18 Cool, hatte es im Radio verpasst :. User - 2 Apr 18 Your voice sounds completely different when you speak German.

Nice interview. User - 2 Apr 18 Cool, danke! Comments 4. User - 25 Mar 18 Very nice talented brother or shall I say talented siblings.

User - 25 Mar 18 Cool sketch! I really like the small "no smoking" touch! It seems your brother could also be a great tattoo artist ; you've got the machines to do so, where is the studio?

I'll think about my first Zippo mod too User - 26 Mar 18 Awesome sketch, I think you should do some videos with him! User - 25 Mar 18 Very cool sketch!

I really like the style of style of the drawing. Thanks for sharing it. User - 11 Mar 18 Thank you for that, Laura!

And Jimmy and Brett too! It's really nice to just chat for a little while sometimes. Even when it does include cockroach stories.

User - 11 Mar 18 Thanks for the video. I would not mind subtitles at all. I'm kind of hooked on Swedish mysteries thanks to Netflix. User - 10 Mar 18 link doesn't seem to work.

Not started yet? User - 11 Mar 18 Awesome watched the replay User - 11 Mar 18 Just watched the reply of the live stream great ideas with sharing tips.

Ich kann dir aber von erster Hand mitteilen das es seht schwer ist zwischen deutsch und englisch zu springen während du mit leuten sprichst.

Good luck. User - 10 Mar 18 Thanks Jamie. User - 10 Mar 18 The link is not working. User - 11 Mar 18 It said waiting on Laura until it was over. Missed it.

Take care. User - 9 Mar 18 Oh my, get well soon Laura! Just to say that here again, I can only support your IG Stories!

It's really cool to see more of what you're up to and how things are moving! Comments 7. User - 21 Feb 18 Very cool to feature the grain on poplar.

I really like the way poplar looks. It seems like most people only use it for parts that are hidden inside of a project, or for parts that get painted.

Nice job. User - 21 Mar 18 I'm definitely going to build one of these for my dogs We don't see much of that wood available here in Western Australia but I think Tasmanian oak would work well too.

User - 20 Feb 18 This was a very cool video to watch, enjoyed the look. User - 7 Mar 18 I really like how you made the corners on this build!

User - 19 Feb 18 I might just make a cat bed like it loved the video. User - 20 Feb 18 Too awesome User - 19 Feb 18 I really like how on the finished project the wood grain follows the side all the way around.

User - 17 Feb 18 Awesome idea! User - 17 Feb 18 An important thing to keep in mind is that you need to have personal some interest in the people you're interviewing, otherwise you won't be able to be your usual happy engaged self.

So I agree - you would have to curate the final choices of your guests. Also, as someone who would enjoy the chance to talk with you, the idea of having to win votes in order to do so makes me feel tired and sort of bummed out.

User - 17 Feb 18 I don't want to have to win votes either! User - 17 Feb 18 Hey Laura, I think it might be worth bearing in mind how much work it might be and the learning curve, so if it was me I would only do 1 a month to start with, and then if it works and you like it you can bring it to 1 a week etc.

Do you know the game "Would you rather? Usually these questions end up leading into some really fun and interesting conversations. User - 18 Feb 18 some questions we should answer before figuring that out: a who should be the target audience?

User - 18 Feb 18 its your pod cast. User - 17 Feb 18 I like to get to know the person behind the podcast. Where did you talents come from? My Dad was a fantastic carpenter but a terrible mechanic - I'm the opposite What made you choose your career?

Was there a family member who encouraged you while someone else expected you to become a -- fill-in-the-blank.?

Can you get other talented people as guest on the podcasts? They don't all have to be Maker related but give ideas for us to think about that we could apply to out creativity.

I'm 64, have been retired for 9 years but became a self taught Mechanical and Software Engineer and had a 37 year career with one company.

I barely graduated High School but created a software process that moves money in an enclosed system or the via internet.

User - 17 Feb 18 Really love the ideas. I have no real insight in how to structure it, so it is engaging to the listeners.

Maybe in the beginning focus more on what your Patreons are working on or the part-time-maker-hustle. Personalities will shine through anyway.

And maybe don't be shy to cut it down if is not Interesting enough :. User - 17 Feb 18 Love the idea of a podcast. Would love to get to know you better.

You are a new discovery for me and I have have enjoyed binging all your stuff. User - 19 Feb 18 Sure you should try it out and as many has pointed out, its your podcast so you are in control.

Try it out for a couple of times and curate them to suit your flow and needs first, els its just for us who like the idea and you might lose passion for it which is bad and will give a low result in many ways.

My thought is that you try it out for lets say 3 times in some variations, single or group skype-podcasts, specific topics that the participants can pre-prep answers to or just a regular interview style either you asking the questions or us.

Keep it "short", min. At least from my point of view living in stockholm its perfect for commuting. My point is that you keep it controlled a bit so you get out what you want from it.

I would think the second option would work far better in this case. It also relies on a potentially unreliable level of participation to make the decision.

User - 17 Feb 18 I agree with Jamie's comment. Frequency wise you'll have to let us know what your schedule allows. I think maybe once a month? Depends on how much editing is involved.

I was thinking the other day that it would be kind of nice to have a platform to talk to other patrons. Like a message board. Whenever you do the live streams I read so many cool comments and ideas, but it's pretty hard to keep the conversation going.

Is there a way to create a private subreddit or sth? User - 18 Feb 18 a facebook group could work too. User - 17 Feb 18 Can't wait for the first podcast.

User - 17 Feb 18 I suppose we could do some sort of poll where we pitch who we are and a little about us - other can then vote if they'd be interested in learning more about each person.

User - 17 Feb 18 I would completely disregard what anyone else said and instead go with my guts in regard to who I personally am interested in featuring or get to know better.

Not only that but also who fits my podcast format and who "works" in an interview style format. I have a little podcast experience and I have been in an interview and I can say that without a doubt I have the gift to make people switch off their audio devices.

That said it would be in your best interest to a surprise your audience, b have people on the cast who fit your interests as well as your needs and c to not bring people on the "show" who are going to make it go belly up.

There is a good reason why the making it guys rarely bring in guests. User - 17 Feb 18 You got the range of responses, didn't you!

I agree that going with your gut is probably a good idea because at the end of the day you have to be interacting with the people and trying to keep an interesting conversation going.

If you're interested, that will show in the interview. I might suggest reserving the right to decline to post something if it ends up being really boring though with you in the lead I doubt that would happen!

And I wouldn't worry about defining a specific schedule upfront. Figure out how long it all ends up taking and then work timing out later.

We will understand that this is just a test! I love that you're looking to create more of a community here and I'm looking forward to it!

User - 17 Feb 18 Such a nice idea! Could be an option to link it somehow to a project you're working on or thinking about.

That way you can interview someone and also have a little brainstorming or knowledge sharing. User - 18 Feb 18 ich höre sehr gerne podcasts.

User - 17 Feb 18 I'm still here for the builds - and a little concerned about the other "distractions".

Comments 2. User - 7 Feb 18 Awesomesauce! Can't wait to see the new workshop! User - 7 Feb 18 Place looks amazing, should definitely make a loft in it.

Or park the trailer in it :P. User - 7 Feb 18 Will the tiny house fit IN the new place? User - 7 Feb 18 That's great news! User - 7 Feb 18 Good luck!

User - 7 Feb 18 Awesome news. Looking forward to see what you do in the space. User - 7 Feb 18 Whoa! I just saw the photos of the new space I think that is what I saw on the new Lens thing Patreon has added.

That looks incredible! Heaps of potential. Very nice! User - 7 Feb 18 Awesome. Give us a little tour when you can? User - 8 Feb 18 That was a cool project.

No one else could have designed this. It only makes sense in your tiny house. I've never needed a shelf to be a lamp.

You did, so you made it. Very cool. User - 4 Feb 18 So cool. User - 4 Feb 18 Ausgezeichnet :. So i just launched a campaign at bonfire.

I know some of you wanted a hoodie User - 4 Feb 18 Just ordered one for me and one for a friend! User - 5 Feb 18 Ordered a small for Hayden. She will grow into and It will fit her for the rest of her life.

User - 31 Jan 18 Nice. Laura kampf starter kit?. Will it be signed by you and Smudo? User - 31 Jan 18 Holy crap that's awesome.

BUT, you can also make this sketchbook yourself if you like. User - 31 Jan 18 That's a good point. Lucky folks! User - 31 Jan 18 cool idea.

User - 29 Jan 18 Just watched this video this morning! Such a cool idea. I love your design skills! Congrats on the k views!

User - 29 Jan 18 WOW! Great video and sketch too! Thanks for sharing your talents with us, Great Inspiration to others User - 21 Feb 18 love this project, and im thinking of incorporating it into a bed headboard im designing.

User - 29 Jan 18 Great project might build one for my phone ot kindle. Mit welchem program hast du die zeichnung gemacht?

User - 30 Jan 18 Yes I would also like to know which app, is that Concepts? User - 30 Jan 18 I guess its procreate. User - 30 Jan 18 shame it is only on apple devices.

User - 31 Jan 18 Shame it's only on Apple. Just curious what software you use to draw them? User - 2 Feb 18 Hi Laura, thanks I'll check it out.

User - 29 Jan 18 I particularly liked the brass fixings on this one. Congrats on k in such a short time!

User - 29 Jan 18 Awesome project Laura! User - 29 Jan 18 Congratulations!! So happy to see that! User - 29 Jan 18 Congratulations!

It's nice to see a really good video getting lots of views! User - 29 Jan 18 Laura, beautiful design as usual. Sound port for the iPad maybe?

Just a forstner bit dive through the first two 0. User - 29 Jan 18 OK, coffee has been administered.

Through 1. Angled to better reflect. User - 29 Jan 18 Good work! Love the sketch, congrats on the clicks, you deserve it!

User - 29 Jan 18 Superb video Laura. Have you thought about to glue in a stop for the ipad, and make the upper bracket to swivel so that you could flip down the shelf and use it as an upright stand?

Of course when nothing is on the top of the shelf? User - 22 Jan 18 for some reason i didn't get this post until Monday???? User - 21 Jan 18 Keeping our fingers crossed.

Or I guess you will be holding your thumbs in Germany :. User - 21 Jan 18 Forgot all about this and just saw the link in time to see the "Ok guys, thanks for watching!

User - 21 Jan 18 Ready and waiting! I made a sketch for you guys- i am super excited about this "evolution" of my sketches User - 21 Jan 18 I like the new sketches, i so wish i could have just a tiny bit of artistic talent!

User - 21 Jan 18 Love them User - 21 Jan 18 Sehr schön. I build a few of these when I was self employed. User - 21 Jan 18 Looks cool!

This must be on your tablet? User - 22 Jan 18 Love them. Laura what kind of wood did you use for the bed and ladder?

User - 22 Jan 18 Personally I prefer the old sketches, they are more raw, natural The new one looks very cool , but also more commercial looking User - 21 Jan 18 I dig it.

User - 16 Feb 18 Lovely project. Any chance of having the loft bed sketches? User - 21 Jan 18 That is so cool!!! User - 21 Jan 18 I love the look and feel of the sketch.

Does this mean the notebook age is over? Or that notebook entries become even more rare and precious? Is the ladder broken-toe approved? So sorry to hear you lost a bike in the storm, but so relieved that the Tiny House lives on unscathed.

Not as raw as the markers and tape of the sketchbooks, but it definitely is signature Laura Kampf. User - 21 Jan 18 Looks good. Only criticism is Can't see your logo very well.

But I like the style. User - 21 Jan 18 I like this a lot! I agree, a very nice evolutionary step! User - 21 Jan 18 :D Yeah!

It looks like a page off of a book of builds, something in a super big storage with thousands of them :. User - 22 Jan 18 I like both styles of sketches.

Evolution is always fun! User - 21 Jan 18 Awesome But I think you need to find a way to get some neon colours in there or it just doesn't feel "you".

Love it though!! User - 22 Jan 18 Love the Sketch! But if i ever build it I have to remember to flip the order of steps since i'm left footed :D.

User - 21 Jan 18 It's a really cool style! User - 21 Jan 18 Sind schön aber die alte Version find ich besser Ist das so weniger Arbeit?

Should just be back from the airport by then? User - 19 Jan 18 6pm. Germany is ahead of us. User - 19 Jan 18 Best news all week!

User - 19 Jan 18 Should be able to make it. I will be back from Saturday morning market by then! Looking forward to it!

User - 19 Jan 18 Can't wait.. User - 19 Jan 18 Just try and keep me away :. User - 19 Jan 18 I'm in!!!

User - 19 Jan 18 I hope to make it! User - 19 Jan 18 I'll do my very best. User - 19 Jan 18 Great - I'll try my best to get it.

User - 19 Jan 18 Sweet, hopefully I'll be home by then! User - 19 Jan 18 Ah my bad. Of course! Brain fart Fingers crossed for watch later! User - 19 Jan 18 Im in.

User - 19 Jan 18 I'm there! User - 10 Jan 18 Would also like to get my hands on that little bad boy! Keep up the good work Laura!

User - 10 Jan 18 What a great idea! User - 10 Jan 18 I'm in! User - 10 Jan 18 First? Would love to win it :. User - 10 Jan 18 Hi Laura, that's great, thanks!

User - 10 Jan 18 Never used a hand plan before.. Would love to win this one.. User - 10 Jan 18 Super cool! Attachments 1 Trailer.

User - 5 Jan 18 excellent idea! Now it will be more dangerous that ever! Better a sharp chisel than a dull one Cant wait for the full video User - 5 Jan 18 Just watched the preview ich kann es nicht abwarten das preview ist super.

User - 7 Jan 18 Chisel in your pocket!!!! So many uses love it :. User - 5 Jan 18 That's an absolutely genius idea! I may very well have to make something similar myself.

Awesome work Laura. User - 10 Jan 18 This looks like a great upgrade. The "file" on the original blade is useless.

Not that a file is useless, but Leatherman's attempt at a file is useless. User - 5 Jan 18 Patty Miller stole my line!!

What a tease Keep smiling User - 5 Jan 18 Geiles Teil!

I'm just laughing because all the artists I know complain how expensive they are.

User - 5 Jan 18 Great teaser Laura! Many thanks for the stickers and patch and Happy ! Patty M. User - 5 Jan 18 Cool, can't wait too see the whole video User - 5 Jan 18 Brilliant!

User - 7 Jan 18 What's funny is I've thought of this concept for a long time now just never got around to doing it. Great work Laura and I love how it's only half the size too!

User - 5 Jan 18 Such a great idea! You always give such good inspiration! User - 5 Jan 18 Very clever!

Is it O1 steel and did you heat treat for hardness? User - 6 Jan 18 Brilliant! Looking forward to watching you work that hardened steel like a Boss!

User - 18 Dec 17 That sounds awesome! This could be a really nice idea and it's so original! User - 17 Dec 17 Laura I would love to help with the podcast.

I am a teacher now for 5 years after nearly 20 years in industry und kann noch immer deutsch sprechen nach 23 jahre in england.

User - 18 Dec 17 Oh, and might I suggest trying to get quite a few women from the maker community first?!? Don't get me wrong, I love listening to podcasts like Made for Profit, Making It and Modern Maker, but I really would enjoy hearing things from the perspective of some other ladys in the field.

User - 17 Dec 17 This sounds like a very cool idea!

User - 3 May 18 Can you tell me the brand of led light that you used? User - 9 Jun 18 I found the lamps on Amazon. User - 3 May 18 Thank you! I really like the way this lamp came out.

User - 3 May 18 Love your new shop lots of personality already!!! Yes shops have personality for sure I love mine User - 3 May 18 I definitely enjoyed this and seeing how the new shop has begun to inspire you User - 3 May 18 When I first saw the turnbuckle I was like "Jeez, she's overengineering this!

I like this design a lot! User - 28 Apr 18 Brilliant. User - 28 Apr 18 Great!! I love this project and the video!

And it's so great to see you adding new things to your shop. User - 28 Apr 18 Love it nice project.

See you at MakerCentral will be wearing my Laura Kampf shirt. Kann ich bitte win autogramm auf meine arbeits leder schürtze haben?

User - 28 Apr 18 Really nice project, Laura! And I'm so glad you've finally discovered flap discs lol! Or maybe you did before, but I think this is the first time I recall seeing you use them?

User - 29 Apr 18 Fantastic video Laura! And I see your challenge with the light! On the other hand, you did a great job on that front, looked super dope no matter how you made it work, it worked out great!

ARC magazine!? So cool. User - 28 Apr 18 Your visual style is always a treat, never mind the fixture itself.

User - 15 Apr 18 Super video. User - 15 Apr 18 great video! I love the art you have started to hang on the walls.

The old table tops look awesome on the wall too! User - 15 Apr 18 Perfect timing, I'm just about to build stairs for my own workshop User - 15 Apr 18 Agreed, the new space looks great!

Glückwunsch zur neuen Werkstatt? User - 17 Apr 18 das würde ich auch gern wissen User - 2 Apr 18 Besten Dank super das Interview mit dir.

User - 2 Apr 18 Didn't understand a word, but it sounded like fun. User - 3 Apr 18 Danke fürs Teilen. War übrigens echt cool, Dich in Nürnberg mal persönlich zu treffen und Danke auch noch mal für den Patch.

User - 2 Apr 18 Bin immer schwer beeindruckt. User - 4 Apr 18 Short but sweet! You captured the maker spirit so well when you talked about not knowing how to do something but still trying :.

Missed it. User - 8 Mar 18 Hope you feel better soon mate! Looks like you guys had a great time at the Lincoln event though. Tell Brett if he has time he needs to make a dice this weekend too!

I did a challenge in the FWT fb group. User - 9 Mar 18 Link not working but seen you on Instagram hope your having a good time with the godfather.

User - 9 Mar 18 Thanks for the message! Hope you feel better soon :. User - 9 Mar 18 servicecomment Thanks! User - 8 Mar 18 Hi Laura! Get some rest, if you can.

User - 8 Mar 18 You be sure to take care of yourself. We need you healthy! User - 8 Mar 18 I can't wait to see what you and Brett both make!

I know they will be awesome. Thanks for the quick hello! Hope you feel better real soon. Glad to see you all having a great time!

User - 7 Feb 18 Amazing! Looking forward to whatever you do with the space!

User - 7 Feb 18 Yes!! That's awesome news! User - 7 Feb 18 Awesome news Laura! Best of luck with it! User - 7 Feb 18 Sweeeeeet!

User - 7 Feb 18 OMG! That sounds really promising! Best of luck Laura! User - 7 Feb 18 Die Backsteinwand werd ich vermissen Halle sieht aber Hammer aus!!

User - 7 Feb 18 That's fantastic news Laura. Can't wait to see it develop. User - 7 Feb 18 That warehouse looks amazing!

User - 7 Feb 18 Congratulations! Best of luck with the new space! Looking forward to Sunday. User - 7 Feb 18 Great news!

Good luck with the move. User - 7 Feb 18 Great to hear! Is this the location you already dropped some breadcrumbs upon in the past weeks?

New Reward! User - 5 Feb 18 Das ist eine mega nette Geste!

I will still respect you? User - 24 Dec 17 Heyyy Laura, it's good to hear you're getting some rest!

User - 18 Dec 17 i love the podcast guest idea.

Looking forward to hearing more about it. And very pleased you and Smudo have both moved into your tiny houses before the snow!

User - 17 Dec 17 Yea that's a great idea. I would like to be apart of that. Do you have any ideas on the topics and format of the podcast? What would you name the podcast?

User - 18 Dec 17 Some real progressive ideas Laura! I also like the podcast idea. It would be neat to hear from some of the Patreon peeps.

Lots of diversity in skills and project work I am sure! User - 17 Dec 17 This is a really great idea Laura! I know it's tough to dive into something when you don't know how long it'll take, but I think as long as you end up enjoying it it's ok if it's just an every now and then thing when your schedule allows.

Think it's a really great idea. User - 17 Dec 17 The podcast sounds like a great idea to help build the community more.

I'm also a fan of the giveaway. User - 17 Dec 17 Laura - I think the podcast is a great idea! Compressing resources with gzip or deflate can reduce the number of bytes sent over the network.
